So my Bears lost.

As a frequent performer I feel like I am one step closer than most to understanding the pressure of the moment that athletes go through. I am not pretending to experience the weight of the world upon me as Super Bowl teams feel. But the reaction of the heart and mind to The Moment - that is a magical thing. Some rise and others falter. It is definitely a thrill ride that, when overcome, is rewarding like few experiences in life. It is a journey of self-discovery. When I watch students growing up and experiencing the same struggles that I went through I hope that they are appreciating the chance to stare at themselves in the mirror and to try to get through those bumps.

Only a little more than 16 hours remaining of the torturous 2-week break the NFL put in place before the Super Bowl. 21 years of waiting for my Bears to make the Dance is down from indefinite to a few hours.
